These mammals are arboreal animals and are found on the high treetops hanging upside down. The jaguar and the eagles are the common predators (animals that prey on other animals) of the sloths.
The sloths depend upon the camouflage to hide them from their predators. They have fur which helps them to hide in the trees very well. The furs of the sloths have grooves that inhabit two types of blue-green algae. The green color of the algae helps them to hide well in the leaves of the trees. Moreover, they are so slow that they cannot be caught moving.
