Hint - The Sur Empire was established by Sher Shah Suri. He had taken control of North India by defeating and forcing into exile the Mughal Emperor Humayun. He ruled from the city of Sasaram in Bihar. The dynasty lasted for a short period of 17 years.
Complete Step by Step Answer- The Sur Empire was established by Sher Shah Suri. He was of Afghan descent. It was a very short-lived dynasty, only existing for 17 years. Sher Shah had replaced the Mughals as the rulers of North India after defeating Humayun at the Battle of Chausa. Their capital was situated at Sasaram in Bihar. During the reign of this dynasty many administrative and economic reforms were introduced. The dynasty ended when Hemu replaced Adil Shah Suri as the King. Sher Shah Suri was succeeded by Islam Shah Suri.
OPTION A - Sikandar Suri was born as Ajman Khan Suri. He was the brother-in-law of Sultan Muhammad Adil Shah. He declared Lahore's independence from Delhi, he was the governor of the former. Later he seized the throne of the Sur Empire from Ibrahim Khan Suri.

He was Sher Shah's second son, born as Jalal Khan and upon his accession to the throne adopted the regnal name, Islam Shah Suri.
