There are domes and minarets in almost all Mughal buildings, which make a distinction. The domes are both fabulous and magnificent The bulbous cupolas standing on the pillars in the corners, beautiful palace-halls, lofty vaulted gateways, liberal use of stone, marble, and gems lend a distinctive character to the Mughal architecture. Finally, they also introduced a new mausoleum Structure by having two or double domes laid in the center of a park or garden.
Mughal rulers were very skilled and they have adapted the regional architectures. Some of the examples include the roof that was designed to resemble a thatched Hut in Bengal. Akbar capital Fatehpur Sikri has many buildings that show the influence of Gujarat and Malwa.

Note: The Mughal buildings are very beautiful. Every stone used in them is well cut, groomed, and polished. Most of them have white marble used in them, though some buildings have been made in red sandstones as well.
