Hint:
Rihand Dam’s reservoir known as the ‘Govind Ballabh Pant Sagar’, is India’s largest artificial lake.

Complete step by step solution:
Rihand Project is located at Pipri in Sonbhadra District in Uttar Pradesh (UP). Its reservoir area is on the border of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The dam was constructed across the Rihand river in 1962. The main purpose of this dam is to generate hydropower. The nearest railway station is Renukoot. This dam also provides water supply to the aluminium industry at Renukoot and chemical industry at Pipri.
The Rihand River rises from Mtiranga hills, in the region of south-west of Mainpat plateau which is almost 1100 metres above the sea level. This river flows through the central part of Surguja district for almost 160km. The Rihand River and its tributaries form a fertile plain in this central part of the district. It stretches from its origin to Lakhanpur, Surajpur and Pratappur. It then flows towards the north into Sonbhadra district of UP via Singrauli district of MP. It's called Rhed in Madhya Pradesh and it finally joins soon after following this route.
Rihand river also has a fall named ‘Rakasganda’ and is located in Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. This fall holds a lot of importance from the tourist point of view.
Hence, the correct answer is option B.

Note: NTPC Ltd. has developed an infrastructure to transport fly ash in bulk to cement plants at a much cheaper cost. This is constructed at Rihand Super Thermal Power Station in Uttar Pradesh. This will enable the power plants to upgrade the utilization of fly ash.
