Let me help you in brief, a native metal is any metal that is found pure in its metallic form in nature. The elements or metals which are freely available, which do not react or not in the form of compound is known as Free State.

Free State is the property of an element that does not require it to be combined with other elements or being chemically bonded with them. Other than carbon, the oxygen molecule also shows properties of being in Free State. Carbon is the element which occurs in Free State in the form of diamonds, graphite’s etc.
Molecules can exist in the Free State because they are very stable. Molecules may be formed by the combination of two or more similar atoms of an element Molecules may be formed by the combination of atoms of two or more different elements. When atoms of at least two different elements come together to form chemical bonds, these molecules can be called compounds.

As we know, only few metals like gold, silver, copper and platinum metals occur in nature in large amounts. Technically these metals are found in pure state because they are non-reactive in nature. They are highly inert to any type of weather conditions, air conditions, surroundings etc. Generally, it is hard to find a metal in a pure state as almost most of them are found in the form of alloys, ores and other compounds.
