Read this telephonic conversation between two friends and complete the passage given below-
Sunil- Where have you been? I’ve called you six times.
Rajeev- I was cleaning my room.
Sunil- You couldn’t stop cleaning to answer your phone?
Rajeev- I was cleaning my room so I could find the phone!

Hint:An important part of Speaking in the Western World is telephone communication. When chatting on the phone, there are two things that are really important. The first is to listen with understanding and the second is to answer or reaction with understanding (replying or speaking). The practice of both things is also important.

Sunil telephoned his friend Rajeev and inquired (a) Where Rajeev was? adding that (b) he had called six times. Rajeev replied that (c) he was cleaning his room. An angry Sunil wanted to know if (d) he couldn’t stop cleaning to answer the phone to which Rajeev replied that (e) he was cleaning his room to find the phone.
From the above conversation, it can be estimated that the conversation is in Past Continuous Tense and in Past Perfect Tense. This conversation is between two friends Rajeev and Sunil, where Sunil is complaining to Rajeev for not answering his phone.
