Hint: Read the story carefully and answer the following question. Story is a narrative i.e. it can be true or fictitious, designed to interest, amuse and etc.
Complete step by step answer:
Option A) He wanted to become the king – is an incorrect option because fox wanted to become a king this is true but this option is incorrect. Thus, this is an incorrect answer.
Option B) He was not chosen a king by the animal – is an incorrect option because he was not chosen by the other animals but this option alone is incorrect. Thus, this is an incorrect answer.
Option C) Both A and B – is the correct answer because it is true because the animals had to elect a new king. They chose the monkey as their king because he used to amuse them with his tricks and antics. The fox was disappointed because he also wanted to become the king (Option A) and he was not chosen by the animals (Option B). Thus, this Option is the correct answer.
Option D) None of the above – is an incorrect answer because this option is void.
The fox was disappointed because he wanted to become the king and he was not chosen a king by the animal. (Option C)
So, the correct answer is “Option C”.
Note:
In this story, he refers to the fox and other animals were opposed to the fox because when the monkey king fell in the trap the fox laughed very loud and this was rude to other animals. However, reading is a very important task in answering questions based on story. Thus, Option C is the most appropriate answer as compared to the other options. And here, we will not confuse why we left Option A and B being right but we consider this as wrong because option C includes Option A and B both.
