Hint: Osmosis is defined as a process through which the solute molecule moves from the region of higher concentration to the lower concentration (along the concentration gradient) to maintain the same concentration of the solute on both sides. At the time When the solute concentration becomes the same on both sides, then it is said to be in equilibrium.

Complete answer:
If we put the cell in a solution where the surrounding concentration of water is higher than that of the cell inside the water will move from higher concentration to the lower concentration can be said that it moves from outside to inside so the cell will absorb the water. Hence, the imbibition of the cell and the cell Swells up.
This situation only occurs when the solution is hypertonic, that is the solute is lower inside the cell and greater outside the cell. Usually a hypotonic solution is 0.45% half normal saline. When the usual concentration of water molecules present in the surrounding medium will be very high in comparison to that of the present water molecule concentration within its cell, the cell tends to swell up.

Now let us find solution from given options:
A.Plasmolysis: at the time when a living plant cell loses water through the process of osmosis there is some shrinkage of the contents of the cell wall away from the cell wall. This is called plasmolysis.
B.Adsorption : it is a surface phenomenon. The process of getting attached to the surface of the substance or liquid is termed as adsorption.
C.Diffusion : some kind of substances like carbon dioxide and oxygen can move across the cell membrane by the process termed as diffusion. It is usually a spontaneous process.
D.Endosmosis : Endosmosis is a kind of passive transport through which the water moves from outside medium to inside of the cell. In a hypotonic solution, the concentration of the solvent (water) is more than that of the outside medium and solute concentration is high inside the cell due to this, solvent (water) enters the cell and increases turgidity. So, raisins swell up.

Hence, the correct answer is option (D)

Note: When we put animal cell in hypotonic solution that is cell without that do not have cell wall so the cell could get enough uptake of water which may result in the rupture of the cell but if the plant cell is kept instead, they will stop bursting due to the presence of cell wall and shows turgor pressure phenomena.
