Purpose of cabinet mission was -
 1)Its focus was to secure the method of forming a constitution for india.
2)It also forms the constituent assembly.
cabinet mission resolve the deadlock between indian national congress and muslim league in order to avoid comunal riots.
3)It also aimed to transfer the powers from british to indian leadership.
4)It mainly aimed at keeping India united and not divided into two nations.
5)This mission was like a declaration of India's independence from foreign rule.

Recommendation of mission-
1)To form Loose union of territories under a centre.and Centre to have powers regarding military,external affairs,communication.
2)The Princely legislature can elect a constituent assembly with some specific seats.
3)It Proposed immediate formation of an interim government. At centre.
4)The Provinces have full autonomy and residual powers.
5)The Princely govt were not to be under paramountcy of british govt.
6)It then provided that members of interim govt,. need to be Indians only.

But unfortunately the mission failed as the congress and muslim league couldn’t be satisfied and the ideological diffrence between the two could not find a common grpound to settle.

2)Lord wavell was not a part of the mission but involved in its discussions.
3)Since this plan failed a new plan was proposed which finally led to the division of india into pakistan and india .this plan was called mountbatten plan.
