The list of presidents who did not graduate from college with a degree most famously includes George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and extends to James Monroe, Zachary Taylor, Martin Van Buren, Harry S. Truman, Millard Fillmore, Grover Cleveland, Andrew Jackson, Andrew Johnson and William McKinley.

Their lack of a degree however should not be construed as their distance from education. Some have gone on to establish educational institutions (Millard Fillmore established the University of Buffalo) and others have attended but have dropped out for a myriad of reasons (like fighting in the Revolutionary War).
