The Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) is a nationwide plan in India. The plan is to provide good all-weather road connectivity to several unconnected villages. A total of around 178,000 (1.7 lakh) habitations which have a population of above 500 in the plains, and above 250 in the hilly areas have been planned to be connected by proper roadways. It was estimated that the work would be mostly complete by the year 2019-20. Let us now see which year it was started -
