Hint: Regeneration is referred to as the “beginning of the shape” or “form and structure of plants”. Regeneration means the renewal of plants from their own body parts. Regeneration is seen in several organisms belonging to the phylum Cnidaria and Platyhelminthes.

Complete answer:
Regeneration is a biological process of growing an entire plant from a single or group of cells. Regeneration is possible because the plant's cells are made up of totipotent using hormones. In the Regeneration process, some organisms have the ability to restore or replace the last part of amputated body parts.

A) PLANARIA: Planaria are living common freshwater organisms and non-parasitic organisms. It has dynamic bodies with regenerative capacities, including the regeneration of complete and perfectly proportioned animals from tiny tissue remnants. In Planaria each portion of the body can is regenerated.

B) HYDRA: Hydra is a small freshwater organism, usually present in temperate and tropical regions. Their body consists of thin, usually translucent tubes. Epimorphosis is a type of regeneration that has the characteristics of regenerating limbs, and the second type of regeneration is morphallaxis. Here, regeneration occurs through the re-patterning of existing tissues, and there is little new growth.
Both Planaria and hydra have regeneration capacities. Regeneration is achieved by specialised cells; these cells divide to form a huge number of cells. The mass of cells undergoes modifications to form different types of cells and tissues. The modifications take place in organisms in an ordered sequence and they are referred to as development.

Therefore the correct answer is option ‘C’.

Note: Regeneration is not the same as reproduction. The regeneration process occurs when the species is broken up or cut in order to give rise to new individuals. Another example of regeneration is the tail of the lizard grows back after it is cut.
