
How do plants reduce the amount of water lost through transpiration?

Transpiration is a process where the roots of the plants take up the water present in the soil then the water is released in the form of gas that is water vapor. Water maintenance should be proper, no matter if the amount of water is more than required or less than required it affects the proper growing of the plant.

There are mainly two reasons for transpiration: one of them is cooling the plant and maintaining the required temperature.
