Since we know the face value of any digit is always that digit say ‘x’, then the face value will always be a single digit.
Now if we want face value to be equal to the place value we have to consider a number that has only one digit in it i.e. the number having only at its one’s place.
We are given four options i.e. 0, 10, any digit and 100
Since we require a one digit number for it to have a place value equal to its face value and there is no one digit number amongst those options.
If we look at the face value of 0 in any number then it will be 0 multiplied by its position in the number. Since we know a product of 0 with any number is 0 then the face value of 0 will always be equal to 0.
