Hint: Plants usually act as the basis of the food chain. Less known, we have in the atmosphere is algae which changes carbon dioxide to oxygen. Protists also contain chloroplasts and convert carbon dioxide to oxygen. All they have in common is photosynthesis.

Complete step by step answer:
The equation for photosynthesis can be written as follows:-
$6{H_2}O + 6{O_2}\xrightarrow{{}}{C_{{6^{}}}}{H_{12}}{O_6} + 6{O_2}$
So, we say that six water molecules with six carbon dioxide molecules yielding one glucose molecule and sex oxygen molecules.
The photosynthesis process:
This process combines carbon dioxide and water to form glucose, a sugar with the help of the sun's energy.
Carbon dioxide enters plants through tiny pores in the bottom of leaves.
Water entering through roots, usually the sun’s energy absorbed by the green chemical chlorophylle, fuels the chemical reaction that combines the carbon dioxide molecules with the water molecules to form glucose, one type of sugar and as a waste product it releases oxygen.
Glucose can be stored in fruits, toots, stems, or plants and also they can be released through a reverse process of respiration.
Whereas oxygen breakdown the glucose into carbon dioxide and water, this is how it releases the stored energy.

So, the correct answer is Option C.

Note: Various steps involved in the process of photosynthesis are explained as follows:-
1. Carbon dioxide enters the plants through stomata, wonder is absorbed by root hairs and takes it away to the leaves. Chlorophyll absorbs the light energy from the sun to split water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.
2. The hydrogen from water molecules and carbon dioxide are used in the production of glucose. Also, oxygen gets released as a waste product.
3. Glucose is a source of energy, while the best is stored in loots, leaves and fruits.
4. Pigments are the other cellular components of photosynthesis. They one basically functional for imparting colour. All queen plants mainly contain chlorophyll b and carotenoids.
Process of photosynthesis mainly occurs in two stages:
A. light- dependent reaction or light reaction.
B. light independent reaction or dark reaction.
following factors affect photosynthesis:
a.) light intensity
b.) the concentration of $C{O_2}$
c.) Temperature
d.) water
e.) pollution
