Hint Humayun was the second Mughal Emperor of India. He was the eldest lovable son of Babur and he has also served as a governor of Badakshan. As ruler of the Mughal territories on the Indian subcontinent, Humayun succeeded his father to the throne of Delhi in December 1530.

Complete answer:
Humayun ascended the throne at the age of 23 years and with experience. At that time he did not have the political knowledge and the military ability as his father Babur. Humayun had three brothers who proved to be incapable and disloyal for him as well as his father. Humayun divided the empire among his brothers but this proved to be a blunder for him.

Humayun defeated Mohammed Lodhi (Afghan of Bihar) in the battle of Dauhariya in the year 1532. In the East, when Sher Khan became powerful he marched against him. In the year 1539, in the battle of Chausa Sher Khan destroyed the Mughal army and Humayun escaped from there. Later, in the year 1540, in the Battle of Kanauj, Humayun became an exile for fifteen years after he was forced to fight alone with Sher khan.

1555 – 56 was the second term period of the rule of Humayun.

Therefore the correct answer is A

Note
Bairam Khan was the most faithful officer who helped him. In the second battle of Panipat in the year 1556, Mughal forces under Bairam Khan clashed against Humayun and won the battle. Humayun was executed in the battle.
