The atmosphere of earth is nothing but the layer of gases that is retained by gravity of earth and surrounds our planet completely, forming its planetary atmosphere. This atmosphere is composed of various gases in different compositions.

Let us discuss about earth’s atmosphere followed by its air composition as follows:-
-Earth’s atmosphere: Its area of atmosphere stretches from the starting surface of the planet up to as far as 10,000 kilometers above which is approximately 6,214 miles. After this, the earth’s atmosphere blends completely into space.
-As we know that oxygen is necessary for most lives on Earth but the majority of our planet’s atmosphere is not oxygen. It is nitrogen gas which takes up most of the atmosphere.
-The earth’s atmosphere is different in various percentages and compositions. The major gases are shown below:-
78 % is nitrogen gas
21 % is oxygen gas
0.9 % is argon gas (which is a noble gas as well)
0.04% is carbon dioxide gas
-The left 0.06 percent comprises the trace amounts of methane gas, water vapor and some of the other gases like 0.001818 percent are neon gas, 0.000055 percent is hydrogen gas, 0.000524 percent is helium gas, and many more.
-From the above data we can conclude that the percentage of argon in earth's atmosphere is (D) 0.9
