Hint: Muscles can be divided into various categories based on their appearance, location and type of movement.

Complete answer:
Non-striated muscles are also called the involuntary muscles.

Additional Information:
-Non- striated muscles are muscles which have no striations on their surface, i.e. they do not have distinct dark and light bands.
-Due to lack of the striations, these muscles appear smooth and hence called smooth muscles.
-These are spindle shaped muscle cells with a single centrally placed nucleus that form sheets or bundles.
-These muscles are not under the control of will of the organism i.e. they are directly under control of autonomic nervous system, therefore these muscles are also called the involuntary muscles.
-These muscles are found within the walls of organs and structures such as the oesophagus, stomach, intestines, bronchi, uterus, urethra, bladder, blood vessels, etc

Note: The smooth muscle cells have fibres of actin and myosin that run through the cell and are supported by a framework of other proteins. Smooth muscle contracts under certain stimuli as ATP is freed for use by the myosin. The amount of ATP released depends on the intensity of the stimuli, allowing smooth muscle to have a graded contraction.
