Hint: A bicycle is a vehicle that works using the pure basic principles of mechanics. In a basic model of bicycles, two wheels are connected to each other which we used to rotate by using pedaling. And the wheels rotate to give a forward movement to the bicycle.
Complete answer:
When a person is riding a bicycle he applies some force on the pedals due to which the chain over the pulley attached to the pedals starts to rotate. Ultimately the wheel rotates and the bicycle covers a certain path.
As the wheels rotate on their axis they perform a rotational motion. Due to this rotation with the contact of the ground the bicycle covers a certain longitudinal distance. So the wheels also perform a translational motion concerning the ground. The bicycle is dragged by a path due to the rotational motion performed by the wheels of the bicycle.
Thus, here we can come to a conclusion that the wheels of a bicycle undergo both types of motion. Translational motion as well as rotational motion.
As per the availability of the answer in the options, the correct option is Option B.
Note:
Every object in the universe undergoes vibratory motion. But at the macro-level of operation, the value of vibration is very small as compared to the other forces acting on the body. For such cases, vibrational motion is neglected. When an object undergoes a circular path of motion the motion is known as a circular motion. Ex: a person running on a circular path.
