Lymphocytes are classified into two cells that are B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes.

Place of production and maturation.	B lymphocytes originate and mature in bone marrow itself.	T lymphocytes produce in the bone marrow but mature in the thymus gland.
Function	These functions by activating and producing the plasma cell that produce antibody against the attacking antigen.	These functions in two ways. One cell targets the antigens and directs the immune response. And the other cells directly contact the pathogens and destroy them.
The way of killing antigen	Here these lymphocytes are not directly involved in destroying antigen. Antibody functions in-between them.	They are directly involved in killing pathogens.
