Hint: While large parts of South America, Africa and Asia are located in the Southern Hemisphere, there are only two continents whose entire territory is south of the Equator. Both of these continents have extensive areas that are inhospitable to human life, but otherwise, they don’t have a lot in common.

Complete answer: The two continents which lie completely in the Southern hemisphere are Australia and Antarctica.
Some interesting facts about Australia are:-
a. The continent of Australia is sometimes called the Land Down Under because it's so down the south.
b. The entire continent is one single country, It is split into eight states. It is the world’s smallest continent but also the 2nd largest country due to its size.
c. Australia is approximately 3,200 kilometres from its northern shore to its southern shore and nearly 4,000 kilometres from east to west.
d. Australia has three time zones and includes mountains, flatlands, deserts and forests. The seasons are reversed from those in the Northern Hemisphere, that is why Australia's winter months are from June to August and its summer months are December to February.
Some interesting facts about Antarctica are: -
a. Antarctica is the continent at the bottom of the world, the southernmost part.
b. It is covered in a thick sheet of ice that covers 98% of the continent.
c. The rest of Antarctica is mountainous and rocky. The Transantarctic Mountains divide the continent into two areas: East Antarctica, which is about 488 meters above sea level, and West Antarctica.

Note: Lake Vostok is Antarctica’s largest lake, and one of the largest in the world, it is covered by a 4-kilometre-thick ice sheet. At 0 degrees latitude, the Southern hemisphere starts at the equator and moves south to higher latitudes until it reaches 90 degrees south pole in the middle of Antarctica.
