Hint: A nucleosome is a section of DNA that is wrapped around a core of proteins.DNA forms a complex with proteins called chromatin which is inside the nucleus,, which allows the DNA to be condensed into a smaller volume. Chromatin basic unit is the nucleosome .
Complete answer:
Histone protein and DNA are major components of the nucleosome. Because of the phosphodiester linkage DNA takes the negative charge and histone are basic in nature and carry a positive charge because histones are made up of basic amino acids. DNA covered around the histone octamer (H2A-H2B, H3, H4 two copies of each) with the help of H- bonding. So, the negatively charged nucleosomes are DNA and positively charged components of nucleosomes are histone octamers.
Note: -DNA(deoxyribonucleic acid), is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms.Approximately every cell in a person’s body has the same DNA. Mostly DNA is found in the cell nucleus (where it is called nuclear DNA), but a little amount of DNA can also be found in the mitochondria (where it is called mitochondrial DNA (or mtDNA).
