1. Dura mater- it is the outermost meningeal layer which consist of dense irregular connective tissue which are closest to the bone
2. Arachnoid- it is a spider web like meningeal layer which is seen between the dura and pia.which is loosely around the brain
3. Pia mater membrane which is a highly vascular membrane which closely follows the contours of the brain. They are closely attached to the brain and funiculus surface
