Complete answer:
Law-making body of the Union Government is called the Parliament. In India, it is bicameral. It consists of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The members of the Parliament are the representatives of the people who are elected directly in the case of Lok Sabha and indirectly in the case of Rajya Sabha.
The parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. The president has full powers to summon either house of parliament or to dissolve the Lok Sabha. But the president can exercise these powers only on the advice of the prime minister and his council of ministers.

Lok Sabha – It has 543 members. They are directly elected by citizens of India based on a universal adult franchise. To be eligible to vote for Lok Sabha one must be over 18 years of age, irrespective of gender, caste, religion, or race and is otherwise not disqualified. The Constitution provides for 552 representatives to be the full strength of the Assembly. It has a five-year limit. An individual must be a citizen of India and must be 25 years of age or older, mentally stable, should not be bankrupt, and should not be criminally convicted to be qualified for membership of the Lok Sabha.

Rajya Sabha – Also known as the upper house. It is a permanent body not subject to dissolution. One-third of its members retire every 2nd year and are replaced by newly elected members. Each member shall be elected for a term of six years. Members shall be elected indirectly by members of the legislative bodies of the States. The Rajya Sabha can have 250 members at most. It currently has 245 members, of which 233 are elected from the States and Territories of the Union, and 12 are appointed by the President. A state's number of representatives depends on its population. The minimum age for a person to become a Rajya Sabha member is 30years.

Note:The parliament house is located in New Delhi. Those nominated (by the President) to either house of Parliament are referred to as Members of Parliament.
