Complete answer:
Tidal forests -
Tidal forests are sometimes referred to as mangrove forests and can be found in the tidal zone.
The tidal or intertidal zone is the area above water at low tide and under water at high tide, also known as the foreshore and seashore and often referred to as the littoral zone (in other words, the area between tide marks).

The tidal forests are the mangrove growth of vegetation along the shores of the sea that develops naturally and forms dense forests around water bodies near the sea, such as in the Bengal Delta and the islands of Andaman and Nicobar.

Tidal forests region in India -
In the Ganga and Brahmaputra delta regions of the eastern coastal plains of India, tidal forests are found.

Ganga - Brahmaputra delta –
i) In the Bengal region of the Indian subcontinent, the Ganges Delta (also known as the Sundarbans Delta or the Bengal Delta) is a river delta consisting of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal.
ii) It is the largest river delta in the world and empties into the Bay of Bengal with the combined waters of many river systems, the Brahmaputra and the Ganges rivers in particular.
iii) The forest is situated at the southern end of the delta of the Ganges River, that is, the plain to the south bordering the Bay of Bengal.
iv) This is a reserve forest and has been divided into 55 compartments and four administrative ranges. v) v) Around 70 tree species enrich the forest, many of which are commercially important. The Sundarbans are a marsh in the delta.
vi) Mangrove forests comprise the rich deltas of the Cauvery, Krishna, Mahanadi, Godavari, and Ganga. vii) These forests are known in the state of West Bengal as 'Sundarbans, the term for the largest delta.
viii) The mangrove forest is often referred to as the Tidal forest, as both salt and freshwater can exist in this forest.
ix) There are tropical deciduous forests in the Ganges-Brahmaputra basin that yield valuable timber: sal, teak, and peepal trees are found in these regions.

Note:
-On the delta of the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna Rivers on the Bay of Bengal, the Sundarbans mangrove forest, one of the largest such forests in the world (140,000 ha), is situated.

-In the deltas of major Asian rivers, mangal is especially prevalent. The Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world, found in Bangladesh and West Bengal, India, in the Ganges River delta. The mangroves of Pichavaram in Tamil Nadu are one of the largest mangrove forests in India.
