The five peaks in the Himadri ranges which are more than 6000 meters high are-:
1. Mount Everest: It is located in the Mahalangur Himal sub range of Himalayas which is the highest mountain above sea level with elevation of 8,848 m (29,029 ft). Sagarmatha and Chomolungma are the other names of Mount Everest.
2. K2: It is the second highest mountain in the world above sea level with an elevation of 8,611 meters (28,251ft). After George Bell, a climber on the 1953 American Expedition K2 was named as the savage mountain. K2 is located at Karakorum on the China- Pakistan border.
3. Kanchenjunga: It is the 3rd highest mountain in the world and also known as the five treasures of great snow with an elevation of 8,586 m (28,169ft) in a section of the Himalayas called Kanchenjunga Himal which is between Nepal and India.
4. Nanda Devi: It is known as the “Bliss giving Goddess” and is the second highest mountain after Kanchenjunga with an elevation of 7,925 m (25,994ft) which is located in Garhwal, India.
5. Kamet: It is the second highest mountain with an elevation of 7,800 m (25,584ft) in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand and is also located in Garhwal, India.

The Greater Himalayas known as Himadri, the lesser Himalayas called the Himachal and the Shivalik hills which comprises the foothills are the three parallel ranges of The Himalayas.
