Hint: Muzafar Jung was officially known as Nawab Muhyi ad-Din Muzaffar Jung Hidayat. He was also given various other titles like Nawab Khan Bahadur as well as Nawab Subadar of the Deccan.

Complete answer: Muzafar Jung was born in Bijapur to a Naib Subadar i.e. Deputy collector Nawab Talib Muhyi ud-Din Mutawassil Khan and wife Khair-un-Nisa Begum. He succeeded his father and was appointed as a Subadar of Bijapur. Soon he decided to stake his claim to the throne when his Grandfather Nizam-ul-Mulk died in 1784, against his rival and uncle Nasir Jung. Eventually, the conflict between the two led to the Second Carnatic War. On 16 December 1750, he took the throne of Hyderabad. As he joined forces with French and his Carnatic ally Chanda Sahib, he granted territories and honoured titles to Joseph Marquis Dupleix, the Governor-General of French India and the French. Since he could not appreciate and officially honour his Afghan allies like French, this resulted in a conflict and led to the Battle of Lakkireddipalli Pass. On 13 February 1751, Muzafar Jung died after being hit in the head with a spear by the Nawab of Kurnool.

Options A, C and D can be easily eliminated as Option B February 1751 is the right answer.

Note: After the dramatic death of Muzafar Jung, Salabat Jung was appointed as the new Nizam by the French commander De Bussy. As Muzaffar Jung’s only son Nawab Muhammad Sa’ad ud-din Khan Bahadur was minor at the time of his father’s death.
