Hint: Our Solar System consists of the Sun, the planets and their moons along with the asteroids, meteors and meteorites. The number of moons on each planet varies.

Complete Step by Step answer: Moons are also known as natural satellites. They are solid bodies which come in many shapes and sizes and few of them have atmospheres. There are hundreds of moons in our solar system. Even few asteroids also have small companion moons. There are 8 planets in our solar system out of the terrestrial planets Mercury and Venus do not have moons. The Earth has one moon and Mars has two moons in total.Jupiter and Saturn are the only two planets which possess provisional moons. They both have 53 moons each with Jupiter having 26 provisional moons and Saturn having 29 provisional moons. Uranus has 27 moons and Neptune has 14 moons of its own. Therefore, the solar system has 204 moons in total.

Thus, Making all the above options irrelevant, option 'd' is correct.

Note: The outer planets have more moons than that of the inner planets because the giant planets dominate gravitationally in a large area. Hence, they are able to capture passing irregular satellites such as moons.
