Complete answer:The human activities that leads to the release of air pollutants in the atmosphere are:                                                                                                                                                                                           1) Burning of fossil fuels in automobiles industries and households: Generally in all the industries you can see a black smoke which comes out of long pipes in the outer environment directly released into the air which causes air pollution to a great extent. They releases a large amount of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, organic compounds and chemicals into the air and depleting the air quality.                                                                                                                                                                                                                   The automobiles that we use also releases smoke due to burning of petrol, diesel and hence the vehicles are also responsible for the harmful environment.                                                                                                                    Sulphur dioxide is the harmful gas which is released by the burning of fossil fuels like coal, petroleum is one of the major causes of air pollution.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 2) Smokestacks or thermal power plants smelters and other industries release particulate and other gaseous pollutants together with harmless gases like nitrogen and oxygen.                                                                                    3) Decomposition of garbage into open air also leads to air pollution.                                                                                               4) Mining operations: Minerals present below the earth are extracted by the mining process.
