A. The Burning of Fossil Fuels
Sulfur dioxide emitted from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil for electricity in power plants and other synthetic fuels are one of the main sources of air pollution. Millions of cars on the roads are powered by gasoline and diesel engines that burn up oil for the release of electricity. As a result, toxins such as PM, nitric oxide and NO2 (together referred to as NOx), carbon monoxide, organic compounds, and lead emit from automobiles, including trucks, jeeps, buses, trains, aircraft, creating elevated amounts of emissions.

B. Agriculture Activities
Ammonia is a very natural by-product of industrial operations and is one of the most dangerous gases in the atmosphere. The use of insecticides, pesticides, and fertilizers in agricultural operations has increased considerably. They emit toxic chemicals into the environment and can also cause water contamination.
Farmers have set fire to the field and old crops in order to keep them safe for the next round of sowing. Burning to scrub fields is said to cause emissions by releasing toxic gases into the environment.
