Seasonal plants are defined as those plants which grow and flower in a particular season. This plant gets undeveloped and prone to disease if it grows in an unsuitable season. Five important seasonal plants include peppermint, fennel, ginger, ginkgo, and chamomile. Peppermint grows in the spring season, it requires moist soil and partial sunlight for its growth. It is a type of runner and at suitable conditions, it spreads very fast.
Fennel plant growth is suitable for late summer. It grows in full sun and partial shade conditions. Ginger is planted in between summer and spring and it gets harvested during winter. Ginkgo grows best in late spring and it requires full sun and partial shade. A high-temperature plant died. At a certain time, it also tolerates drought conditions. Chamomile grows best in cold conditions. It requires part of shade and it also tolerates full sun.

The plant is also divided into monocarpic and polycarpic plants. Monocarpic plants flower and reproduce once in their life and then die. It is divided into an annual and biennial plant. Annual plant includes sunflower, rice, wheat, etc. which grow once a year while biennial plant-like radish, spinach, bottle gourd, etc. grow twice in a year. Polycarpic plants are perennials which flower after maturity every year in a particular season. The inter flowering period of the polycarpic plant is the recovery phase which is not a juvenile but a mature phase.
