A. Cholas, Cheras and Pandyas:- Muvendar means three chiefs in Tamil. It was used to denote the three heads of ruling families; Cholas, Cheras and Pandyas. The Cholas ruled over Chola Nadu, the Cheras over Chera Nadu and the Pandyas over Pandya Nadu. In South India, the Muvendars resemble the time of political unity and integrity. They mostly spent their time fighting each other.

B. Satvahana rulers:- The Satvahana rulers were famous as Lords of Dakshinapatha. They were known as Lords of Dakshinapatha because they were ruling in the west often controlling the route to southern regions.
