Hint: We all know that the Satpuras Range is parallel to the Vindhya Range in the north, and these two east-west ranges are known to divide Indian Subcontinent into the Indo-Gangetic plain of northern India and the Deccan Plateau of the southern India. Also, we know that the Narmada River begins from north-eastern end of Satpura Range and enters in the depression between the Satpura and Vindhya.

Complete answer:
As we know that the Satpura Range (option C) is a range of hills which is a part of the Deccan plateau in western India. This hill stretches for some $560$ miles i.n. $900km$ across the widest part of the peninsular India, through the states of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. The name of this range means “Seven Folds''. It forms a watershed between the Narmada in the north and Tapti in the south. With peaks more than $4,000feet$ high, the Satpura Range comprises the Mahadeo Hills to the north, the Maikala Range to the east, and the Rajpipla Hills to the west.
The Satpura encompasses some worked coal deposits and manganese in its southeastern flanks. These are largely forested, dissected plateau ranges, but it consists of some valuable teak stands in the west. In the upper Wainganga and Pench valleys of the Mahadeo Hills, there are some agriculture and jhum cultivation practices i.e. burning, planting, and etc.
So, the correct answer is Option C.

Note: The Satpura Range is also known as a horst mountain which is flanked by the Narmada Graben in the north but it is much smaller in size but runs parallel to Tapi Graben in the south. Also, some parts of the Satpuras have been folded and upheaved. They are regarded as structural uplift or 'horst'.
