Hint: Mitosis (M Phase) is one of the stages of cell cycle or cell cycle division in which the cell divides into two identical daughter cells.

Complete answer:
The cell undergoes a 4 stage process to divide itself. The four stages are the G1 phase, S phase, G2 phase, and M phase. G1, S, and G2 stages are collectively called Interphase. The whole cycle is 24 hours and the different stages have different duration but the mitosis is only 1 hours out of the total 24 hours.. All these stages are in order. All this occurs in a highly regulated and conserved manner.

The mitosis is the actual division of cells into identical daughter cells. Mitosis is further divided into Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, and Cytokinesis. The Prophase is of 30 to 60 minutes; metaphase of 2 to 10 minutes; anaphase 2 to 3 minutes and, telophase 3 to 12 minutes. The prophase is the longest period of mitosis.

Note: The cell cycle is of various duration in different species and the length varies from species to species. The cell cycle is 24 hours in humans,in the yeast it is 80 mins while in some bacteria it is 20 minutes only.
