How do limiting factors affect photosynthesis?

Hint: Limiting factor stops or slows the growth of an organism or the rate of reactions. Environmental factors which are responsible for the particular reaction are also called the limiting factors. Maintaining these factors are essential to perform the particular process properly. In the photosynthesis process the produced product is not called as the limiting factor.
Complete answer:
Limiting factors for the photosynthesis are temperature, carbon dioxide levels, and light intensity. Photosynthesis will decline if temperature and light intensity is too low or high. Carbon dioxide level is low then it will also decline photosynthesis.
Light is the first limiting factor and without light photosynthesis cannot perform. Chlorophyll absorbs the sunlight. This light energy transforms the carbon dioxide and water into glucose and oxygen. If the light intensity is high then chlorophyll will be damaged.
Because of temperature enzymes are affected. At the low temperature enzymes can't work properly so the rate of photosynthesis decreased. Same thing also occurs for high temperatures. In high temperatures enzymes will be damaged.
Carbon dioxide is the important thing to produce oxygen and glucose. Carbon dioxide level is directly proportional to the photosynthesis rate. High carbon dioxide will speed up the process.
Note:
Oxygen is not a limiting factor because it is the bi product produced by photosynthesis. The factor which is not used to perform photosynthesis is not a limiting factor. Limiting factors are also classified as density dependent and density independent factors. Without light photosynthesis cannot perform it is the most important factor. ATP and NADPH are used to fix or reduce the carbon dioxide level to produce oxygen.
