Hint: Light is detected by the photoreceptors present in our eyes, while the smell is detected by the olfactory receptor present in our nose. Smell sensation is due to the chemical present in the atmosphere, which is detected by the olfactory receptor present in our nose.

Complete step-by-step solution:
We know that there are a total of five senses, through which we are able to perceive the world around us. They are namely hear, touch, smell, light, and taste. We have our ears, skin, nose, eyes, and tongue respectively for perceiving them.
When we talk about light, then we know that it is made up of photons. Each of the photons carries energy which accounts for the total energy of light. For detecting these photons, we have the retina at the back side of our eyes, which contains a set of receptor cells. These receptors are known as the photoreceptor cells, as they are specialised in perceiving the light. These photoreceptor cells are mainly of two types; the rod cells and the cone cells.
The cone cells respond differently to the different wavelengths of light, thereby enabling the colour vision. On the other hand, the rod cells function in the dim light, and they are responsible for the night vision.
But when we talk about the smell, then we know that it is a chemical sense. So we need the chemoreceptor of the smell for perceiving them. The chemoreceptor of the smell is known as the olfactory receptor. It is present in our nose along the nasal passage.
But the light does not contain any chemical within it. Because of this the olfactory receptor present in the nasal passage is not able to detect it. So light cannot cause a sensation of smell.
Hence, the given statement is false. Hence the correct answer is B.

Note:
Each of the five sense organs of the human body has different kinds of receptors for perceiving the senses. The skin has the Cutaneous receptor for perceiving the touch, the ears contains the hair cells which act as the hearing receptors, also the tongue has the gustatory cells which act as the receptor for perceiving the taste.
