Hint: Ribosomes are macromolecular devices that conduct biological protein synthesis and are present in all living cells. To form polypeptide chains, ribosomes bind amino acids together in the order defined by the codons of messenger RNA molecules.

Complete answer:
Ribosomes are the protein synthesis devices in the cell. They are made up of 52 proteins and three RNA molecules in bacteria, and 80 proteins and four RNA molecules in eukaryotes. Five ribosomal protein genes were discovered in 16 viral genomes after a systematic search of genome sequences from cultivated viruses (e.g., those propagated in cell culture). One eukaryote virus (a murine sarcoma virus) and 15 bacteriophages are among them.

The next step was to look for ribosomal proteins in uncultured viruses, or virus genome sequences that had not been propagated in cells. There were thirteen ribosomal protein genes discovered. The majority of these viruses' hosts are unknown, but about 5% have been classified as bacterial.

These viral ribosomal protein genes, which were most likely captured from cellular hosts, appear to be undergoing heavy purifying filtering, with deleterious sequences being removed. This finding indicates that they serve a function in viral genomes.

The protein products were integrated into ribosomes when the genes encoding two of these ribosomal proteins were expressed in the bacterium E. coli. The issue of whether they play a role in protein synthesis control should be investigated further in the lab.

Viruses cannot carry out their life-sustaining roles or replicate without a host cell. Since they lack ribosomes, they can't make proteins and must rely on their host cells' ribosomes to convert viral messenger RNA into viral proteins.

No ribosome is not a virus.

Note: Ribosomes are organelles that aid in the production of proteins. Many cellular functions, such as damage repair and other chemical processes, need protein. A ribosome is made up of two subunits: small ribosomal subunits, which read mRNA, and large ribosomal subunits, which make up polypeptide chains of amino acids.
