Hint: Vitis is the scientific name for grape. It is the genus for around 79 species of flowering plants of the Vitaceae family. It is an economically rich source as a fruit as well as for the production of wine.

Complete answer:
First we should know about climbers and creepers. Climbers are the plants that possess weak stems and so have to climb plants or walls for support whereas creepers are plants which have weak stems but they grow along the ground, around another plant or up a wall through extending their stems or branches.
A grapevine or grape is a stem-tendril climber plant that grows in an upward direction with a cascading growth. In this plant, new shoots are grown every year. It is cultivated with a height of 19 meters or more depending on the technique of pruning. It’s leaves possess a heart/ lobe like beautiful structure and its foliage lasts from April/May to October. The color of the fruit may vary from green, yellow, red, blue or blue-black with various berries and cluster size.

So from the above discussion it becomes clear that Grape is a Climber plant that grows in the upward direction with drastic overhanging growth.

Note:
Grapevine is quite susceptible to fungal diseases, however the new varieties are more resistant than the older ones. Pruning is a technique used for cultivating a grapevine, it is essential in winter and becomes necessary in summer. A positive phototropism could be seen in grape plants i.e. it grows towards the sunlight.
