Hint: There are four cardinal directions, which helps us to navigate any object in space with respect to our earth; namely as east South West and North. West is directly opposite to East and North is directly opposite to South, and this pair of sets of opposite directions are perpendicular to each other.

Let us first understand the basics of working in these four directions on the journey of the sun with respect to our earth. In the morning the sun always rises from the east direction and then it follows its journey to the southward direction (In the northern hemisphere) and in the northward direction (In the southern hemisphere) and then in the evening it begins to set in the West direction.
During the day, people who live to the north of the tropic of cancer see the sun in the south direction whereas people who live to the south of the tropic of cancer will see the sun in the north direction.
Note: It should be remembered that the direction of rising and the setting of the sun mainly depends upon the direction of rotation of the planet, our earth rotates in the eastward direction. The Tropic of Cancer is the most northwards circle of latitude on earth where the sun can be seen directly overhead and this happens generally in the months of June and July.
