In the reaction \[A+B\to C+D\] the rate \[(\dfrac{dx}{dt})\] when plotted against time ‘t’ gives a straight line parallel to time axis and at some time ‘t’, the order and rate of reaction will be :

Hint:Order of reaction is defined as a relationship present between the rate of reaction and concentration of the species which are participating in the reaction. It is the power depended on the concentration of the reactants on rate. The reaction order helps in determining the number of species whose concentration directly affects the rate of reaction.
Complete solution:
The order of reaction does not depend on the stoichiometric coefficients of the species in the balanced equation. It can have the value of zero and it can be in the form of integer or fraction. The rate of reaction is defined as the speed of the reaction at which the reactants are converting into products. For example the rate of reaction of cellulose is very high as the reaction gets completed in a second.
In the question it is saying that the rate has a parallel line against time; this means that the rate is being constant throughout the reaction. This means that the rate here will not be depended on the concentration so the rate of reaction will be
\[rate of reaction=k{{[A]}^{0}}{{[B]}^{0}}\]\[rate=k\]
So rate of reaction = k
As the rate is constant throughout the reaction and this happens only in zero order of reaction where the concentration of the reactants are not the parameters of dependence. So the order of reaction is 0 and rate of reaction is ‘k’. .
So, clearly we can conclude that the correct answer is Option B.
Note:The rate of reaction depends upon the nature and type of reaction. It also depends on the collisions so the higher number of collisions taking place higher will be the rate of reaction. When the pressure of gas increases the concentration also increases thereby increasing the rate of reaction.
