Hint:The food prepared in the leaves is transported from the leaves to other parts of the plant. This process is called translocation. It mainly takes place through phloem.

Complete answer
A. Epidermis: It is the outer layer of the cell. It is made up of elongated, compactly arranged cells, which form a continuous layer. It protects the cell.
B. Xylem: Xylem transports water and minerals upwards from roots to other parts of plant Evaporation of water from the leaves during transpiration produces a pulling force causing upward movement of water. The movement of water and minerals in xylem is unidirectional. It is composed of four different kinds of elements namely tracheids, vessels, xylem fibers and xylem parenchyma.
Gymnosperm lack vessels in their xylem.
C. Phloem: It carries the food prepared by the leaves to all the parts of the plant including roots. However, in some plants the material made in the roots is transported by phloem upwards to the leaves. The movement of materials in phloem is bidirectional. Phloem in angiosperm is composed of- Sieve tube elements, companion cells, phloem parenchyma and phloem fibers. Thus, translocation of organic solute takes place through phloem.
D. Pith: Pith is undifferentiated parenchymatous tissue. It helps in transporting nutrients throughout the plant and stores nutrients.

Hence the correct answer is option (c) .

Note:Gymnosperms lack vessels, sieve tube and companion cells. Phloem parenchyma is absent in monocots.Gymnosperms are flowerless plants which literally means “naked seed”.
