Hint: A saturated solution is a solution of a substance in which no more solute can be dissolved at given conditions of temperature and pressure.

Complete step by step answer:
Definitions –
Solvent – The liquid in which a substance is to be dissolved.
Solute – The solid or gaseous substance that has to be dissolved in a solvent.
Solution – The product of dissolution of a solute into a solvent.
In order to prepare a saturated solution of copper sulphate, we need to follow the following steps –
-Fill a beaker with distilled water.
-Heat the beaker of water at a temperature of 100° C, the solubility of copper(II) sulfate is 736 g/kg of water.
-Stop heating near 100° C.
-Add copper sulfate and keep stirring until the heated solution can not dissolve any more solute.
-This cooled solution is called super – saturated solution.
-The amount of solute that is needed to saturate a solution is different at different conditions of temperature and pressure.

Additional information:
The solubility of solids increases with increase in temperature. As the solubility of most solids increases with increasing temperature, a saturated solution that is prepared at a higher temperature will usually contain more dissolved solute than it would contain at a lower temperature. The solubility of a gas in a liquid is directly proportional to the pressure of the gas above the surface of the solution.

Note:
The process of preparation of a saturated solution is based on the solubility of the solid substance in the solvent. Solubility of a solute varies from one solvent to the other.
