Hint:Atoms are the building blocks of a Molecule. The smallest unit of a substance which can exist independently is called a molecule. So, atoms combine with each other to form a molecule. Atoms combine with each other either by sharing electrons (covalent bond) or by donating electrons to form discrete ions (ionic bond)

Complete step-by-step answer:Atoms can combine with each other through sharing of the electrons, donating the electrons etc. to make molecules. Few ways through which the atoms combine are mentioned below:
$1.$ Ionic Bonding: ionic bonding occurs when atoms either gain or lose one or more valence electrons, resulting in the formation of cation and anion. The atom which loses the electron becomes cation and the other which accepts the electrons becomes the anion. These cations and anions are held together by the electrostatic force to form the ionic bond.
$2.$ Covalent Bonding: some atoms combine by sharing electrons to form molecules. The bond formed by sharing of the electrons is termed as the covalent bond. By sharing electrons, the resultant molecules are more stable than their previous components, since this type of bonding allows each atom to fulfil their own electrons requirement.
Hence above two are the most prominent ways through which the atoms combine to form molecules.

Note: Atoms always combine to land into a more stable state. Also, the enthalpy becomes less while the atoms combine. So, they do so by sharing the electrons or donating the electrons. Hence atoms form more stable molecules when they combine.
