Hint: Prime numbers are used in prime factorization, calculating square and cube root, finding highest common factor and lowest common multiple of numbers etc. In school, we must have a good understanding of prime numbers and factors , because all the numbers are made up of prime numbers only.

Complete step by step answer:
Prime numbers are used in the following ways:-
Firstly:
we are able to know all the properties of that number when it is expressed as the product of prime factors.
Secondly:
We can determine all the factors of the number by using prime factorization technique.
Thirdly:
when we know the product of the prime factors of the number, then we can simply calculate the square root, cube root or any other root.
Fourthly
It is easy to guess the missing factor of how a number can become into a square or cube etc by multiplying by missing factors.
Fifthly
Using prime factorization we can find HCF and LCM of larger numbers.

Note: Prime factorization is a way to write a composite number as the product of prime
factors. Prime factors are those numbers or factors which are greater than one and have exactly two
factors one is the number itself and other is one . There are basically two ways to find prime factorization namely ,
a) by division method
b) by factor tree.
We must have a good understanding of prime numbers and factors , because all the numbers are made up of prime numbers only.
