Hint: Nephron is referred to as a tiny functional and structural unit of kidney. There are approximately one million nephrons per kidney It is $3$ cm in size
It is composed of:
1)Renal tubules.
2)Glomerulus.
Complete answer:
In order to solve this question, we need to have knowledge more about nephrons and kidneys. Nephrons are defined as complex structures in the kidney. Structure of nephron consists of:
1)Renal corpuscle
2)Proximal convoluted tubule
3)Loop of Henle
4)Distal convoluted tubule
Their main function and role is excretion and urine formation. Urine formation is defined as a complex mechanism. It consists of namely three processes:
1)Ultra filtration or glomerular filtration
2)Tubular or selective resorption
3)Selective secretion or augmentation.
Excretion = Ultra filtration – reabsorption + secretion.
Ultra filtration is referred to as a passive process occurring through a filtration membrane. Effective filtration pressure is observed as the final force of water and solute across the membrane of glomerulus.
Effective filtration pressure which can leads to ultrafiltration is determined by three pressures i.e.: - Glomerular blood hydrostatic pressure: It is known to leads to difference in diameters of afferent and efferent arterioles (GHP) $ = $$75mm$mm of Hg.
Blood colloid osmotic pressure: It mainly occurs due to plasma protein albumin which resist further filtration (BCOP) $ = $ $30mm$ of Hg.
Capsular hydrostatic pressure: It is referred to as the pressure exerted by the wall of the capsule to resist further filtration (CHP) $ = 20mm$of Hg. Effective of net filtration pressure
$EFP = GHP - (BCOP + CHP)$
$ = 75 - (30 + 20)$
$ = 75 - 50$
$ = 10mm$of Hg
Hence, the correct answer is option (B)
Note: Kidney is known to be an important organ in the human body which plays a role in excretion of waste products out from the body. If any sort of problem takes place in the kidney it leads to many kidney related diseases.
Type of kidney diseases is:
1)Acute Glomerulonephritis
2)Nephrotic syndrome
It is composed of:
1)Renal tubules.
2)Glomerulus.
