Complete answer:
Parsoji was given the jagir of Varhad and Gondawan. Jagir was given during the reign of Shahu Maharaj and Parsoji belonged to the Bhosales of Nagpur.
Raghuji was the bravest and the most capable king in Bhonsles of Nagpur. Parsoji was the son and successor of Raghuji II. Raghuji II died in 1816. Parsoji was paralyzed, mentally retarded and blind. Raghuji II tried a lot to improve his skills but he was unsuccessful. With the help of Dharmaji Bhosle, the stepmother of the raja Baka bai, kept him in the palace.
The illegitimate son of Raghuji were Gajabadada – Gujar, Narob Chitanis and Dharmaji Bhosle and they were the guardian of the royal treasury and head of the army. Without a legitimate right to the crown the only claimant to power was Appa Sahin Bhonsle who was a cousin. He had the support of many courtiers including the Ramchandra Vagh and Manbhat They tried to convince the supporters of Parsoji and the faction was led by the regent Baka Bai and Dharmaji.

Hence the correct answer is option ‘A’.

Note: On March 5 in the year 1816, Appa Sahib surrendered and Dharmaji was killed who was Parsoji’s main adversary.
