Hint: The bovine growth hormone also known as BGH is a specific hormone which is produced in cows and this hormone is secreted from the pituitary gland of the animals.

Complete answer:
The bovine word is meant for the cows and the other grazing animals. The bovine growth hormone is a type of somatotropin which is released by the pituitary glands of the cows. Now we know that the cows are the animals on which the humans are very dependent upon because the cows are known to provide milk to humans. Now this hormone which we are discussing is a type of somatotropin hormone and these somatotropic hormones help in the growth of the organism, development and growth also is monitored by this hormone.

The bovine growth hormone is also known as bovine somatotropin. Since the use of somatotropin is limited to the growth and development of the cows but the scientists have already made a recombinant type of this hormone and it is the hormone which is known as BGH. The BGH is developed in order to increase the milk yielding capacity of the cows. The cows are administered with this hormone on the weekly basis. The somatropin released in cows generally does not increase the milk yield but this BGH can increase the yield.

Note: The utilisation of the milk yielded by the use of BGH do not have any observed adverse effect in the humans also by eating the animals also do not have any effect, rather it is quite helpful in increasing the certain chemical levels of the body. But it is observed in some cases that cows had some complications in using the hormone.
