There are different types of soil such as sandy soil, silt soil, clay soil, and loamy soil. The sandy soil includes minute particles. There is one of the poorest types of soil that does not contribute to the growth of plants. It also does not hold water properly and affects the roots. The silt soil also has minute particles made of rocks. These soils are of fine quality and are a bit larger than the previous one. There is another type of soil called clay soil. The particles of this soil are tightly packed and close to each other. The last one is the loamy soil. It is also called s agricultural soil because it was suitable for forming and agricultural purposes. Different types of soil have different roles in the contribution to crops. They hold the water and nutrients and also enrich the roots.

Additional Information: Some of the important functions of the soil are food and biomass production, storage and filtering, biological habitat, and man-made constructions such as buildings and highways. Soil also filters the rainwater and also prevents natural calamities or hazards.
