Hint :Borazine is an inorganic compound, it is a colorless liquid with a fragrant-like smell. It is prepared by the Stock and Pohlands method by reacting Diborane with ammonia. For the preparation of borazine, ammonia and diborane are taken in 2:1 ratio and subjected to heating at high temperatures.

Borazine is a polar inorganic compound. Its chemical formula is given as B3H6N3 and it is also a cyclic compound. Borazine contains three BH bonds, three NH bonds and six BN bonds. This compound is isostructural and isoelectronic to benzene. Due to similarity in structure and properties to benzene, borazine is commonly known as the Inorganic benzene.
The bond length of each bond in six BN bonds is 1.436 . The bond length of the carbon-carbon bond in benzene is just short with value 1.397 . Like benzene, borazine also satisfies the Huckel rule, [ (4n+2)π electrons] for the aromaticity of the compound. Every Boron and Nitrogen atom is sp2 hybridized in borazine. Borazine also shows partial delocalisation of lone-pairs electrons of Nitrogen.

Borazine has an aromatic smell. On hydrolyses borazine gives Boric acid, Ammonia and Hydrogen. The number of pi electrons in borazine is according to Huckel Rule and boron-nitrogen lengths are also equal which suggests that Borazine may be an aromatic compound. Borazine has a standard enthalpy change of formation, ΔHf of 531kj/mol . Borazine is very stable thermally.

Borazine is also referred to as borazole. The comparison between borazine and benzene is not completely valid because of more differences in the electronegativities of Nitrogen and boron compared to Hydrogen and carbon in Benzene.
