Hint: Full form of CSF is Cerebrospinal fluid. It is a clear, colorless, ultrafiltrate plasma with low protein content and few cells.

Complete step by step solution:
Composition of Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF):
Secretion of specialized ependymal cells in the choroid plexuses of the ventricles of the brain composes the CSF. The CSF is mainly produced by the choroid plexus, but also by the ependymal lining cells of the brain's ventricular system. CSF flows through the ventricular system and then into the subarachnoid space and it is subsequently absorbed through the subarachnoid villi into the venous system
Functions of Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF):
1. CSF protects the brain and spinal cord from trauma.
2. CSF supplies nutrients to nervous system tissue.
3. CSF removes waste products from cerebral metabolism.
4. CSF has several functions in the nervous system.
5. It protects the brain during blood pressure fluctuations.
6. It regulates the chemical environment of the central nervous system and it is a vehicle for intracerebral transport.

Note:
CSF provides hydro mechanical protection of the neuraxis through two mechanisms. First, CSF acts as a shock absorber, cushioning the brain against the skull. Second, CSF allows the brain and spinal cord to become buoyant, reducing the effective weight of the brain from its normal 1,500 grams to much lesser 50 grams.
